You should never use a herb if you are unsure
about it, books that are a good guide for using herbs are listed on the resources page. You can use herbs within your magical workings, as insence
or oils for example, and you can include herbs in your life with sleep or bath pouches, or infusions.

Herbal Infusions
A herbal infusion, which was known as
a potion, is a herb or a mixture of dried or fresh herbs steeped in hot water, like tea or coffee. These infusions or
teas are drunk for different medical or magical side effects, below are some of both. You should find out for yourself
the amounts to add to your infusions and find your own way of doing it. Books are on the resources page, and remember some
herbs you can purchase are poisonous so dont use them if you dont know them!
Herbal
Pouches
The scents of some herbs will help
you sleep, or aid your concentration, or can be used in cleansing baths. Rosemary crushed to fit nicely in
a small pouch in your pocket can aid your concentration while sitting an exam, but if its right under your nose and its
too strong it might make you sneeze so know how much your using. It may be easier to burn a rosemary insence
stick while doing coursework, but I wouldn't leave insence or an oil candle burner burning while you're sleeping.
